Grandpa is very Missed

This morning, as I was dressing the boys, I had the TV on. There was a guy talking about a new, tiny "smart car" that he had developed...Blah, Blah, Blah (It was "Earth Day" today)...Anyway, out of the blue, Curtis said: "Dappah!" That is his code word for "grandpa". I looked at the TV, and sure enough, the guy was bald, and just a little older. I said: "Yeah Curtis. That guy looks a little like Grandpa." Curtis said: "No Mom, IS Dappah!" He was so sure that it was him.

At Christmas-time last year, Grandma and Grandpa Westaway came to stay with us for a visit. I think this really helped Curtis bond with them because he still talks about them everyday...Sometimes I even catch him running through the house yelling for them: "Dappah? Damma? Where awe you?" It is pretty cute...

They will be coming again in June! We are so excited! I can't wait to see how much Curtis loves it this time!
